Hello Ms Quynh Anh. I am Carol from the bank. I’ve got a message. I am sorry for the inconvenience that the ATM machine has caused to you. And I understand the confusion and the trouble you’ve gone through because of the problem. It doesn’t happen always but I’m afraid that it does sometimes. I know that you need your card ad soon as possible. So please give us your card number and when we could reach you, I promise I will send our colleague to bring you the card right now. Thanks a lot.
The performance by Chi
I apologize for any making inconvenience at that time. Here is what I can do for you. First you have to call me and you have to let me know your credit card number and your any, ah, personal indentification…and, uh, personal information which is our name and, uh, security number, just like that. The uh, I’ll… Then I call to make, uh, Ok. And I’m call, Ok, I have someone to fix right away that prolem, ah… Ok.
What do you think about the performance by Chi and Carol? I think that they both did a very good job. And now I’m going to give some feedback about Carol’s performance first.
About Carol, you can see that she has a good progress on her pronunciation. This time I must agree that her pronunciations is pretty good except the two small things that she forgets. I hope you still remember Carol the word “always” we have the “s” in the end. I know that you know “always” has to be prounved with “s” however maybe she is a little bit nervous, so she forgets that.
You guys: don’t forget the “s” at the end of “always”. And the second point about the pronunciation is that the word. “colleague” – the people who work with you. Don’t say “college”, I think that is a general mistake many students say “college”. But actually it’s not. You have to pronounce it “colleague – /ka:li:g/”. besides that two minor mistakes, I can not find any other mistakes about your pronunciation. So congratualtions Carol. And now you will be shown with a lot of compliments.
The structure of your speaking is reading is really good. You introduce yourself, your position, you address me: hello Ms Quynh Anh. And you summarize the problem really well. You said I understand that you have problem with an ATM machine and you even explain a little bit for your back like. It doesn’t happen always but it does sometimes. I am sorry. You are always sincerely, faithfully when you say sorry. And I feel happy being apologized like that. So this is very good. And when you propose the solution, I must say that it’s perfect. You want to bring me the card ASAP right away. That’s what I need because I am going on my vacation, I need my bank card.
And you are bringing my bank card right away. So who is better than you. I bet nobody is. And the last thing that you do. You conclude your speaking. You say thank you to me too even I’m complaining to you but you still say thanks. So that is really good. I am very happy about the structure of your speaking in the part of “Propose a solution” of Toeic speaking exam. So very good. Keep that up. Congratulations once again.
And now, let’s move to our second girl today –Chi. I must say that I am very nervous right now. Oh my gosh, she has a very beautiful pronunciation. Even now i don'’ know I am speaking English will or not. Her British accent is perfect, beautiful. I love it a lot. However, about the structure of your speaking, I know that you know it’s not very good. It’s not that really bad but it’s not good. Because it’s not organized.
You forget to address me: Hello ms Quynh Anh. Anh then when you are talking to me, I don’t know if you summarize the problem or not because it’s a little bit confusing listening to your speaking. But I remember that you did say sorry which very a good thing. However the way that you say sorry makes me feel like you don’t want to say sorry. It makes me feel like it’s me fault, not your fault. So a little bit uncomforble if I am customer. Last but not least, I think that you did mention little bit a bout concludion, however, it’s not clear. Overall, I think that you have a good pronunciation but the structure of your speaking is not good. And it’s very confusing to understand.
